Find out how the Lariboisière, Saint-Louis, Beaujon and Hartmann hospitals, part of the ELSAN group, are joining forces to revolutionize radiosurgery.

Inter-institutional collaboration between AP-HP and ELSAN

A multidisciplinary project at the service of the patient.

Find out how the Lariboisière, Saint-Louis and Beaujon hospitals and theInstitut de Radiothérapie Hartmann are joining forces to revolutionize radiosurgery.

From construction to inauguration

Since March 2024, a major project has been underway at the Lariboisière AP-HP hospital to house the ZAP-X®, which was completed a few days ago. To integrate this 27-ton piece of equipment into a listed building located in the hospital's west wing, complex and painstaking work was necessary.

With a novel gyroscopic design, this technology uses hundreds of single-angle radiation beams to target tumors with extreme precision, while preserving surrounding healthy tissue.

Zap-X technology
Fast processing
The ZAP-X system cuts treatment times compared to traditional techniques by reducing the time and number of sessions required.
Less side effects
Thanks to its high precision, ZAP-X minimizes the risk of side-effects on healthy tissues and organs in the vicinity of the lesion being treated.
Patient comfort
The length of each session and their limited number (between 1 and 5) make treatment more comfortable for the patient.
Treatment of hard-to-reach tumors
Thanks to its ability to deliver highly localized, well-targeted doses, ZAP-X can be used to treat tumors located in complex anatomical areas that are difficult to access.
